When Mike learned of little "Elmo" -who had been rescued in South Bend, IN by Animal Control after being found with his throat cut and had been spray painted - he knew something had to be done. Upon learning of the medical bills and other costs involved in caring for Elmo, Mike pledged to send $1,000.00 to assist with these costs and allow Elmo to be adopted by a good, loving family in South Bend. Once again, Gallagher's Army came through and Elmo was saved. During his visit to WSBT-AM - his radio affiliate in South Bend - Mike was able to finally meet little Elmo....except, he's not little anymore!
